I’ve been working with Tenderflake’s Test Kitchen to create recipes with delicious, flaky, and oh-so-easy Tenderflake Puff Pastry while sharing some hacks to make the process quick, easy, and flawless.

The Tenderflake Test Kitchen is a place where pie and pastry expectations are defied and tasty experimentation reigns. The social content and recipes that comes out of the Tenderflake Test Kitchen’s explorations give people the inspiration they want to take their meals, snacks, and entertaining to the next level.

I had fun creating a recipe hack using Tenderflake Puff Pastry and an upside down muffin tin to create nests to cradle a caprese salad. This is another great, light, appetizer you can serve guests and show off your creative genius. Take a look:

Caprese Salad Nests are so simple to make, as you can see from the video above. All you need is Tenderflake Puff Pastry, some basil, bocconcini (or mozzarella), grape tomatoes and balsamic reduction. Oh, and also an egg to help make the pieces of your nest stick together.

It may feel funny putting your muffin tin in the oven upside down, but once you try it you’ll likely think of other ideas where this kitchen hack could be useful. Resist the temptation to make your next strips too thick, the Tenderflake Puff Pastry really does puff up in the oven!
