Back to School Shopping at Sears

sears shopping

As part of a blogger program with Mom Central Canada, I was given the opportunity to shop at Sears for back to school items for the kids.  I don’t have a Sears location locally so my first plan was to shop online.  However, I’m so so glad that I opted to wait a few weeks and visit the store in Regina, SK instead.  While I love online shopping and prefer it, in this case shopping in-store gave me a much better shopping experience.

When looking online, I didn’t find the selection was the same as in store.  I clicked through a few items, shopping first by category (Shop by Department –> Baby & Kids –> Girls Clothing) and then I could narrow the search down even more by shopping by size, which was great.  However, I found that the results didn’t give me nearly the same amount of selection I’d find in store (a search for size 6 bottoms provided me with 16 results, for example).

So, off to the store we went!  On a quiet Wednesday morning in Regina we were able to shop for a ton of back to school clothes for both my son and daughter!  Nevaeh (5) found some great outfits in on the Mix & Match 2/$19.97 table consisting of leggings and tunic style tops (leggings are great for kids with skinny waists and long legs!) and Elijah hit the jackpot with not one but two Minecraft shirts (2/$19.97), which I didn’t even realize were available in stores!

Our total back to school haul?  6 leggings/top outfits for Nevaeh and 4 t-shirts for Elijah all for $100!  And Sears offers the Kid Vantage Lifetime Wear Out Warranty!  Love that!

The Sears Back to School Contest is still on at their Facebook page until September 5th!  You can enter to win a daily prize of $50 Sears Gift Card or a weekly prize of a $500 Sears Gift Card!  Quick, there’s just a few days left to enter!
