Huge Contest Announcement From Opticians Council Of Canada

Love Your Eyes ContestHow much do you really know about vision care?  We all know vision care is important, clearly (excuse the pun), but it’s definitely an area that I as a parent don’t know much about.  Because of this, I trust my family’s vision care 100% to a Licensed Optician.  They are the experts in their field and our Optician is a great source of information and feedback when it comes to discussing my kid’s vision.

I recently had an eye-exam and finally gave in and got a prescription for glasses because of a slight astigmatism I’ve had for years.  I picked out my lenses and purchased my glasses that same day (Coach, because I’m a diva when I want to be).

Someone asked me online whether I was going to get glasses or contacts from one of the online sites frequently shared on Facebook.  Free glasses!  Free contacts!  What could possibly be wrong with that?  While I often praise the advantages of online shopping for most everything, prescription eyewear is something I will trust to my health professional.  The Opticians Council of Canada has some great information on the risks of purchasing eyewear on the internet and while many of my friends have done so, it’s not something I’m comfortable with myself, especially after reading this information.

To bring awareness to the importance of vision care and working with a Licensed Optician in Canada, The Opticians Council of Canada has launched a huge contest that starts TODAY!  By simply answering some vision care trivia questions, you will be entered to win some amazing weekly prizes!

Love Your Eyes contestPrizes include an iPad Mini 16GB, Slim 50″ LED 1080P HD TV, MacBook Air 11″ 128GB, Designer Glasses and $500 Shopping Spree and the GRAND PRIZE is a $3000 President’s Choice Shopping Spree!!

Canadians (excluding Quebec) can enter once per week into the weekly draws and grand prize draw – full contest rules available right here!

What are you waiting for?  Take the trivia quiz, learn more about vision care, and enter to win big with the Opticians Council of Canada!  Go!
