Two Must-Have OPI Products

I am a huge OPI fan, and have amassed quite the collection over the past few years.  OPI feeds this addiction by launching new collections almost as fast as the lacquer dries on my nails from the previous one!

I’ve determined that there are 2 OPI products that you should have in your collection, regardless of what colors are your favorite!

OPI Matte Top CoatThe first is OPI Matte Top Coat!  Available in salons this month, it instantly transforms glossy nail lacquer to a matte finish when applied over any OPI hue.

Matte Top Coat provides sealing protection, without shine and protects nails from chipping, making manicures last longer. With a matte, transparent finish, Matte Top Coat is designed to leave nails velvety smooth and creates a touchable texture for an edgy appearance.

“A matte finish can be worn over any OPI nail lacquer shade and should be applied after the base coat and primary coats of color to give nails a unique look,” says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Co-Founder VP & Artistic Director. “Using Matte Top Coat to transform any shade in your collection makes it a more versatile and budget-friendly way to embrace the matte trend. Give your favorite lacquers an update with a new finish without altering the color.”

I love this product!  I used it recently with Alex By The Books, from the Nicole by OPI Modern Family Collection.  It gave the mint green hue an entirely new, edgy, look.  I wore it over Easter weekend and it was perfect.

OPI drying dropsOPI Matte Top Coat is a great product to have in your collection – try it with your favorite OPI lacquers and see how it changes the look of your color instantly!  Look for it at professional salons across Canada at $10.95 suggested retail.

My second recommendation is OPI Drip Dry.  How I went this long without using this, especially with two daughters who love having their nails painted, is beyond me!  I’m so glad I’ve found it now!

OPI Drip Dry will leave your nails dry to the touch within one minute and completely dry in about five.  I can’t tell you how immensely helpful this is when doing my nails and especially when painting my girl’s nails.  You still have to be careful after that first minute but it enables them to get their nail lacquer somewhat set in that first minute, so that it’s not rubbing off on my couch!  I like it because I can paint my nails, put 2 drops on each nail, and go to bed.  I don’t have to worry about inadvertently touching the blanket and messing up my nails.

As an added bonus, nourishing ingredients, vitamin E and jojoba oil keep nails in top condition.

Look for OPI Drip Dry at your favorite salon that carries OPI products!

  • Whhhaaaaat! I NEED to try the drip dry! I LOVE painting my nails, but I hate how it takes me out of commission for so long until they dry – I always smudge them because I get impatient! I’d also love to try the matte top coat.

  • The no dry drops are wonderful. I can now get a great manicure without smudging my nails by using the dry drops.

  • Omg I need the drip dry! I rarely bother painting my fingernails because I ALWAYS smudge it!

  • would love to try these as my last set of salon nails I have had nothing but trouble…. would love to try both….
