Fair warning here – the first time I tried this dip at a friend’s house I couldn’t stop eating it! I found the recipe online and couldn’t wait to make it myself. This weekend is my daughter’s 5th birthday so it’s the perfect opportunity (though it does mean I’ll have to share…)
Loaded Baked Potato Dip
Prep time:
Total time:
Serves: 6-8
Ingredients
- ½ pkg Ready Cooked Bacon (7 slices), crumbled
- 500ml (16oz) container sour cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- ⅓ cup chives or green onions, diced
Instructions
- Microwave bacon according to package directions until crisp; cool 10 minutes then crumble
- Stir together all ingredients
- Cover and chill 1 to 24 hours before serving (the longer, the better, as it helps the flavors to blend into delicious yumminess!)
- Serve with potato chips
Yummy! that looks so good, going to try it for the big game tomorrow!

So easy yet it sounds so delicious.
Sounds delish – will have to try!
Thank you for this recipe! I recently made it for a work function an it went over really well. Together with the Mars bar rice crispy squares, double batch of each were gone by 10:00. I also am addicted to the cabbage roll casserole. I have made it several times. I now make a double batch and freeze half. It is comfort food personified. Thanks again for the great recipes.
That’s great to hear Mary and you’re very welcome, I’m not surprised it was a hit! 🙂
