Cinderella 70th Anniversary Edition on Blu-ray Now

It’s a very special day, and it requires a very special dress, a fairy Godmother if you have one available, and some new friends to bring everything together to celebrate – or you can improvise with your own dress, a mom or grandmother (because we’re wise, like fairy-Godmother wise!) and your siblings or besties.

In honor of its 70th anniversary, the timeless animated classic Cinderella waltzes into the highly celebrated Walt Disney Signature Collection and the hearts of a whole new generation with the all-new anniversary edition that is now available on Digital and Blu-ray!

The first Disney Princess I knew of, the first book I remember flipping through in the library of my elementary school, was Cinderella. I’m not sure why her story captivated me so much – perhaps it was the story of an underdog, someone who had the chips stacked against her but, with the help of some friends, created something magical and walked away the victor in the end. I know many of us daydreamed about creating a beautiful ballgown as a child, attending a magical ball in a palace (prince or no prince, for many of us it was about the dress, ha!) Now, thanks to @picturethisclothing, my girls were able to help celebrate the 70th anniversary of Cinderella waltzing into the Disney Signature Collection! They designed their own beautiful dresses using markers and crayons at home (you can also use whatever crafty supplies you find, your imagination can go wild!) then we snapped a photo of the design and uploaded it to the site to order. Our dresses have been delivered and they are stunning! We’ll be sharing them next week! Cinderella is available on Digital today June 18th, you’ll also be able to find the Blu-ray release on June 25th! #ad #disney #disneyprincess #cinderella #cinderelladress #dressdesigns #designyourdress #daughters #yqr #saskatchewan #canadianinfluencer

Thanks to PictureThisClothing.com, my girls had the opportunity to design their own dresses like Jaq and Gus did when helping Cinderella in the movie! Above is what the design looked like that we simply snapped a photo of and uploaded to the site, then waited for our dresses to arrive – like magic!

The girls were thrilled with their designs (yes, even the misspelled “magic” that is now a family joke) and wore them to school the day after they arrived! The dresses are light and comfortable. My one tip would be that you add lots of color to your dress – my youngest daughter’s dress, being mostly white, was see-through and she wore shorts underneath to school as a result. Beyond that, the dresses are just perfection!

If your kids, like mine, love those drawing tutorials on YouTube and the like, here’s an easy one from Art For Kids Hub that you can tap on and save, to show them how to draw Jaq and Gus!

Cinderella is waiting for you on digital and Blu-ray now! I’m so happy to have this Blu-ray to add to our collection, and it’s also become one more thing to add to my 11-year-old’s babysitting bag (she’s become quite popular with her take-alongs!)

I’ve got 2 copies of Cinderella on Blu-ray set aside for 2 lucky readers! To enter to win, just fill in your name and email address in the form below and click BEGIN! Then, let’s have some fun with your entry question! Leave a comment on this post below telling me who YOU would pick as your fairy Godmother if you were Cinderella! I’m down with Oprah as mine.
