My House Always Looks Like This

The holidays mean COMPANY IS COMING! I know I’m not alone when I share this scenario – it’s a regular Saturday morning and you’ve decided to be super-productive. You throw in a load of laundry, tidy up the kitchen and turn on the dishwasher, and then decide that the house could use a good vacuuming. Your kids wander into the room and ask, “Who’s coming over?”

True, the quick clean and tidy always happens before guests arrive because we want our friends and family to actually believe that our households always look as clean as they do when they walk in the door. I don’t know why we all do this – we all have messy houses and floors that could use cleaning on any given day – but we like to present a clean and tidy space for guests because that’s, I suppose, the polite thing to do. I have to deal with my kid’s socks in the middle of the floor, my guests shouldn’t have to.

  • I like that it goes easily from carpet to wooden floors at the touch of a button and it steers so easily.

  • it would be so nice to have something lighter for our stairs that transitions to different floor surfaces

  • The cats leave so much hair and dander around our place! This would come in very handy!

  • I’ve never had a vacuum that actually works. A vacuum that picks up everything is a myth lol. Companies always come out with a new one saying it works better than the other, but it’s all a big joke. I bought a vacuum specially for pet hair and it does not pick up pet hair. Lies! Id love to win a new vac just to test out and see if it actually works better than any other vacuum I’ve tried… But I doubt it.

  • I’d love to have this Hoover vacuum because I have 2 cats and keeping up with the hair can be quite a challenge at times.

  • So we have somewhat of a crazy vacuum history (owning way too many old hand me downs at one point). We got rid of a few of them last fall when we renovated, so now we have one upright one that is broken in one place (fixed somewhat with duct tape) and it is also missing the HEPA filter. SO, that said, it’d be great to have a new vacuum for our new basement.

And my mom’s old filter queen died 5 years ago which I was using (HEAVY!!) (Ha I out lived it!) But a shop vac is not made for daily use, also too heavy and the wrong attachments. We have the triple AAA’s Allergies, Asthma, Arthritis.
