I know “I got it at Winners!” is the new marketing tagline for this fabulous retailer, but they nailed it. When a consumer themselves finds themselves saying it, without realizing it’s actually a tagline, you know they’ve tapped into something good (yet so very obvious!) Winners has been and continues to be a leading retailer for finding the best fashion finds, and here in Regina it’s a local favorite and a destination for a girls day with my bestie.
Yup, even this FB profile pic of mine from back in February highlights what is still one of my favorite tees today, and it was purchased at Winners! When you visit Winners, you need time, so don’t go when you have a few minutes between lunch and groceries. A visit to Winners is strategic! You need time to look through the items and pounce when you see something that catches your eye. Also worthwhile, hovering nearby if you see someone holding an item that catches your eye, because perhaps the power of mind persuasion will cause them to put it back on the rack!
My pick from Winners on my list for hubby is these Houndstooth Leather and Wool Gloves ($39.99) waiting for someone to love and adore them at Winners. Now, I realize they may not be there upon his visit but hopefully he has a good starting point on what to find as an alternate. Sassy tees are also on my list, and I advised him exactly where to find them in store.

I had a “fabulous” find at Winners just a few weeks ago. There was a certain toy that my kids asked Santa for this Christmas, but I couldn’t find it anywhere. I contacted the manufacturer who told me it was only being released in the US at this time. I found it online in the US, but decided not to order it because the dollar is so bad right now, and I didn’t want the hassle of having to go down to pick it up (the vendors I found offered US shipping only). So I decided that this gift wish was just not going to be fulfilled. Then I went in to Winners looking for something for my aunt, and low and behold what catches my eye on a table of toys – there it was, the toy my kids had asked for!! I snapped it up into my hands and checked the price, which was only $2 more than the USD prices I had seen, but in CAD, so cheaper when considering the exchange rate. I was giddy!! They only had the one, and I have not seen any more since, so I really hit the jackpot. My kids are going to be so thrilled!!

Yes, my fabulous find at Winners was a black poncho shawl type top that has rhinestones on the front edge….so when I put it on, I sparkle! It is perfect for those occasions that need a little bling, but still have a fairly conservative dress code!

One of the best finds was a lovely black dress , shoes and purse for my 16 yr old who was flying to Florida to attend her grandmothers wedding with her dad.
