Her Name Goes Here! Twiga Clothing

I’ve discovered a clothing company here in Canada that your girls are going to be all over – and their name goes here.

Remember the dorky t-shirts some of us had in the 80’s with our names proudly displayed across them? I say “some” of us because having a name like Tenille, there were absolutely zero items that had my name on them and I was always jealous of everything from pens to bookmarks that had my friend’s names printed on them. Now, parents can order a multitude of custom items and labels displaying names that didn’t even exist in the 80’s!

But, parents also worry about safety. I’m generally OK with having my daughter’s have their names on some items, but perhaps maybe not displayed across their backs when we’re not together. It’s about balance. My girls (thankfully) love their names and want to display them. So, Twiga clothing has me very excited and here’s why.

Twiga Clothing

Twiga shares personalized fitness clothing for girls with their names tastefully displayed, not loudly proclaimed (unless, of course, you want them to be!). Girls can feel amazing in their clothing for gymnastics, dance, or hanging out at the playground and also know that it’s without a doubt, 100%, just for them.

Did you know? Several years ago Lululemon had a kid’s clothing line for a short time, and Twiga apparel designer Chuck Beatty was the menswear designer there at the time. He had a first-hand opportunity to design some of the products and now, Twiga is in the market – Chuck’s own company – and it’s exploding!

Twiga Clothing

My 8 year old wears the Brooke Crop ($58) (also available in grey, pink and white) to school and the clothing, it’s worth noting, is true to size. She comfortably wears a size 8 in Twiga.

She also, happily sports these Mixed Emojtions Shorts ($46) available in black, white, and pink. My youngest daughter is 5 so in-between the size 4 or 6 available. The 6, it turns out, was too big but the size 4 fits perfectly. So, when in doubt, base it on your daughter’s build. My skinny mini fit a 4 much better than a 6.

I’ve been happy with the wash and wear of our Twiga crops and shorts so far and the girls ask to wear the shorts for gymnastics and crops for school. I’m actually kind of jealous *I* don’t have my name on my crops. But, guess what? I can! Yup. Twiga makes clothing for women too!

The personalization doesn’t have to be a name, either. My crops are going to say: Because I love wine.

Hey, we take motivation where we can find it, right?
