Grass Stains & Drinks: It’s Summer (Oh My!)

Summer is here, even if the calendar doesn’t officially say so just yet. If the laughter and screams from the backyard don’t indicate it, the laundry certainly does. Oh my does the laundry hamper take on a life of it’s own in the summer months, don’t you think? Sweat, dirt, more sweat, grass stains, food, and more dirt. I think that sums it up.

Tide Challenge

Tide removes over 100 stains in one wash, so this month our challenge was a perfect one. The kids put on some nice bright white t-shirts and played soccer, jumped on the trampoline and enjoyed some colorful sports drinks in the backyard, all while using their shirts as napkins, jerseys, and sweat collectors (ew.)

The innovative Zap!Cap can be used to get detergent into stains pre-wash, and it’s something I do out of habit all the time now when I come across a stain. The cap is awesome, giving you some plastic knobby-nibs (yep, that’s my name for them) to really help work the detergent into the stain (blot it first). Tide Ultra Stain Release doubles as a pre-treater and a detergent so once the shirts were ready for the wash, I added detergent to the holder in the washing machine and set it to wash, hopeful that the stain challenge was successful once again.

Tide Stain Challenge

There it is! Once again, Tide Ultra Stain Release with it’s innovative Zap!Cap got the grass and energy drink stains out, along with the dirt and sweat. The t-shirts were left stain free, and smelling good. Tide truly #GetsItOut!

  • Having a young child, stains are a part of our life all of the time, so it was great to see all of the different stains during the stain challenge, and to see how well Tide got them out. I also love that oh so technical term “knobby-nibs” … you can never have enough knobby-nibs!

  • I was impressed how well the stains came out in all the challenges. The things used for the challenge were everyday stains we all have to deal with so it was nice to see that Tide has developed a product to take care of them. I like the cap also because it would eliminate the need to look for a scrub brush when treating stains.

  • Love this challenge! We recently bought the Tide with Zap!Cap but haven’t tried it yet. Now that I know how well it works, I may need to put it to the test. 🙂
