As you may have seen if you follow me on social media as well (I sure hope so!), my daughter and I were treated to a pretty amazing opportunity lately when we not only received tickets to the Demi Lovato World Tour stop in Saskatoon but also the opportunity for a quick meet and great with the multi-talented (yet surprisingly tiny in stature) superstar.
The day began with a road trip from Regina to Saskatoon – just my 6 year old daughter and myself – which was something in itself that is a rarity for us. We certainly were ready to have a girls day! Before we left, Nevaeh practiced her posing. She’d have been great at vogueing in the 90’s!
Tampax and Always are tour sponsors for the Demi Lovato World Tour, and the Be Radiant campaign is certainly a perfect fit for Demi. The campaign’s premise is quite simple, be radiant and wear what you want, when you want. No dark sweatpants and bulky shirts during that time of the month. Be confident in the products you’re using and confident in the clothes you’re wearing. Demi Lovato, of course, is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to style and she has a huge following of young girls (and ahem, moms like me who are not so young!) My daughter is too young to understand what the sponsor’s message is, but in terms of style and confidence, we got this.
When the time came to meet Demi, Nevaeh was certainly nervous. She had two questions for her; 1) Are you going to sing Let It Go tonight? and 2) I have a pose for our photo…wanna? Demi, being sweet as she is, happily obliged!
After our meet and greet, we headed out for dinner with our friends we brought as our guests to the concert (a girl’s night out dinner is definitely an important part of GNO!) and then made it back in time to settle in before the concert. Demi – not surprisingly – did not disappoint!
Oh, and I should mention – yes, yes she did sing Let It Go! The reaction? Priceless.

I just had my baby girl a month ago so Always Pads are really needed right now and all i use is Herbal Essences so that would be perfect for me! My 9 yr old and I eother go get our nails done or our hair and go out to eat. We have went to a few concerts that were local to us. I love getting one on one time with each of my kids that includes spending time out of the house! I love the message these sponsors want to send to omen of all ages!

I don’t have a daughter, but my son and I have a special day once a week (usually Sunday while daddy watches football) where its all about us. He chooses where we go to play. What we play. Etc. no cleaning. No to do list. Just quality time.

I think the Be Radiant message is great – it’s about instilling confidence in girls and letting them know that no matter who you are, where you are from, or what is going on in your life, it’s important to be true to yourself and feel good about being you and that others don’t have the right or the power to take away your dreams/spirit/individuality/creativity/etc. Being yourself is what makes you radiant and there no need to change 🙂 Nice message.
