A recent consumer survey by JOHNSON & JOHNSON® on behalf of NEUTROGENA® and AVEENO® discovered some alarming statistics about skin cancer and sun protection:
Did you know that 69 percent of Canadians think skin cancer is correctible if found early enough? And that only one in every ten Canadians has had a skin cancer screening test from a dermatologist?
With “Melanoma Monday” being today May 5th, it’s important to share how important it is to wear sunscreen every day. NEUTROGENA® and AVEENO® offer a wide range of solutions to suit everyone’s sun protection needs, all day – and year – long.
Check out this alarming infographic and please – protect your skin from the sun and keep an eye on any funny looking moles or changes in your skin. I had mole-mapping done by a dermatologist on my entire body 5 years ago and this is a great reminder that I should do it again.
Scary numbers… I’m usually pretty good with my sunscreen/avoiding the sun because I do burn super easily!
The numbers are very startling aren’t they? It’s something I’ll need to remind myself of come July – how quickly we forget in the summer sun!
I lost a sister in law to Melanoma and she never like the sun. It shows that you don’t even have to suntan to get it.
I’m so sorry to hear that – and it’s true, it can strike anyone!
Yikes! I don’t go out in the sun often, but I need to remember to use my SPF. I’ve never gotten checked, but it’s definitely something I should think about.
