Stay Connected. #HPLovesMoms

HP Pavilion 360 reviewBy Tara Richter…

I could hardly contain my excitement as I learned that I would be receiving a new HP Pavilion x360 courtesy of HP Canada and my most dear friend Tenille with Feisty Frugal and Fabulous. It was more than the feeling of incredible appreciation for a woman I admire so much – but also the relief I felt as I knew I’d be able to stay connected so much better with my family, my friends, and even to complete work for my side-business with greater portability and ease of use.

When I first opened the box and turned on the computer (while sitting on the couch I might add) – I was excited and curious to know what this computer could do. The next few hours, however, I felt a bit like a baby giraffe on new legs as I navigated around the system. Coming from using a desk-top Mac computer as well as an iPad, I was definitely in NEW territory. However once I wrapped my head around the touch screen, tiles, apps and overall functionality, it was like a light-bulb “Oh I get it!” moment that has really allowed me to make the best (and constant) use out of the HP.

This computer isn’t just about being able to use it whenever & wherever I please (which is absolutely fantastic I might add, after years of sitting ONLY at my desk).

The HP Pavilion x360 is a key to the connections and relationships I have with others. While physical distance can cause friendships to grow apart, technology has enabled me to maintain those relationships as though there was no distance at all. As a mother, I always feel that I have the support and encouragement from those dearest to me, RIGHT at my fingertips despite the physical distance that separates us. This is especially true with Tenille, who moved away nearly 8 years ago.

I was beyond tears when she left and worried that our strong connection, and bond of being new moms, would be lost. It is a beautiful thing, however, when technology can keep a friendship alive and vibrant through the years, not only for the two of us, but our once small babies who have now grown into boys, and who behave as though no time has passed at all each time we get together.

My younger brother and his wife just welcomed their first-born son into the world on May 3. I am beyond words at how much having the HP has meant to me this weekend, as it allowed me to stay connected to my brother, and “in the know” while his wife was in labour as he sent regular updates and even the first photos and video of my little nephew. The HP will be even more pivotal to me later this summer when my older brother and his wife welcome their first born, since they live 5 hours away. The computer (via email, Facebook, and now SKYPE) will allow me to be an involved auntie, even from a distance.

The HP Pavilion x360 isn’t just a computer to me, it is lifeline that allows me to maintain relationships and stay connected with those that I love.

I used Windows Movie Maker on my HP Pavilion x360 to create this video honoring the connections I have with the moms in my life!

Look for more features coming soon, sharing how Tenille and I are staying connected thanks to the HP Pavilion x360!
