Olay Regenerist Luminous: 2 Week Check-In

OLAY ProductsEarlier this month, I shared news about my review opportunity with Olay Regenerist Luminous Collection. With three products in my artillery, I’m attacking those fine lines (or angry wrinkles as I call one of them) and dark spots. Of course, Instagram filters and online photo editors do a superb job of taking away that which we like the least about our selfies, but unfortunately I can’t bottle that up.

Or can I?

With that thought in mind, I jumped in on this review two weeks ago, using Olay Regenerist Luminous products to start and end my day. Brightening Cream Cleanser is a hydrating wash which not only cleanses the skin but gently exfoliates dull skin to let your luminous skin shine. Once out of the shower, Olay Regenerist Tone Perfecting Cream is a perfect all-over facial moisturizer that instantly brightens my skin while reducing the appearance of dark spots over time.

Now, the final part of this trifecta of action against dark spots and wrinkles is Olay Regenerist Hydraswirl which not only looks gorgeous in its bottle – capturing the look of this dual swirl gel and cream formula –it rapidly penetrates the skin’s surface (I’ve learned a little goes a long way) and helps to reduce the appearance of dark circles. In as little as eight weeks it can diminish the appearance of dark spots and fine lines.

Four weeks in, I’m most proud of the fact that I’ve actually remembered to use Olay Regenerist products daily because, let’s face it, that’s half the issue when trying the latest products from the beauty counter.  We excitedly purchase the product, life gets busy and we don’t use it as often (read: daily!) as we should. Then we cluck and sigh when we don’t get the promised results. I get it because I’ve done that.

It turns out, if you actually use a product as intended, like Olay Regenerist Luminous, you can get some pretty lovely results. I’m not wrinkle free, and my angry wrinkle unfortunately still stares back at me daily, but I love the glow on my skin today. Really.

I love each product for its own glowing reasons and haven’t been able to pick just one as a favourite.  Perhaps the most hopeful product of the three is Olay Regenerist Hydraswirl because if I can reduce the dark circles I’ve had under my eyes since 2004 when my first child was born, I’d be a happy (and bright eyed) girl. The immediate effect is there – applying this product gives the skin around my eyes an immediate brightness boost – now it’s a matter of remembering to apply it twice daily to gain further benefits.

My next post will be sharing my trip to Toronto to meet the Olay Regenerist team and – what I’m most looking forward to – the results of my photo shoot to highlight my review results. Look for it at the end of March and in the meantime, take an extra moment to check out Olay Regenerist on the shelves the next time you walk by. While it may not be that elusive Instagram filter in a bottle that I’ve been seeking, it’s certainly a start to brighter, more luminous skin.

Olay Regenerist Luminous brings you a complete regime to brighten your skin step-by-step.
Step 1: Olay Regenerist Luminous Brightening Cream Cleanser’s creamy formula instantly illuminates skin and leaves it feeling smooth, conditioned and even textured.
Step 2: Recapture healthy-looking, youthful luminosity with Luminous Tone Perfecting Cream. You’ll feel intense hydration immediately, and see visibly younger-looking skin in 2 weeks and more even skin tone in 8 weeks.
Step 3: Luminous Dark Circle Correcting HydraSwirl uses a distinctive dual-swirl formula with a gel to hydrate and a cream to instantly reduce the appearance of dark circles.
