Be Kind to Your Skin With RoC

By Tara Richter…

Prior to receiving these two products from RoC to review, I had never heard of this company. It is possible that I have seen it in drug-stores in passing but never gave it much notice. I most definitely will now after giving them a try and learning about the history of the company itself.

It is extremely apparent in the use of the two products that I received that they are formulated specifically to be gentle yet very effective on skin. I have never been much of a user of facial toner, primarily because I found them to irritate my skin. This couldn’t be further from the truth with the RoC Lotion Tonique Perfecting Toner.  It has a very subtle yet fresh smell and is formulated for all skin types, including sensitive skin, to gently unclog pores, lift residual make-up, and tone skin, leaving it feeling refreshed and very clean feeling!

sun and sunscreen2This past spring, I spent a week in sunny Cuba for the wedding of my younger brother. I used a different spray sunscreen, and was disappointed with its ability to spray evenly & consistently, and found it to be greasy and quite messy. I must admit that the RoC Soleil Protexion Invisible Touch Sunscreen is now a new favorite. I was hoping that RoC would also send me on hot-vacation to really give the sunscreen a fair review (ha-ha), however even from the comfort of my home I gave it a try, minus the sun & heat. The tropical screen-saver, superimposed with a photo of the RoC Soleil Protexion Invisible Touch sunscreen will have to serve as my motivation to save for a winter vacation instead! The very fine and light mist offers extensive coverage, enables protection for hard to reach places, offers a gentle fragrance and leaves skin moisturized with a light touch and invisible finish. The RoC Soleil Protexion Invisible Touch sunscreen spray is good for all skin types and offers broad spectrum as well as photostable protection that stays effective and does not deteriorate.

RoC, the abbreviation of Rogé Cavaillès pharmacy in Paris, is where in 1943 Jean-Charles Lissarrague took lead and specialized in dermatology and magisterial preparations. He is noted as a visionary in the cosmetic industry in combining beauty with pharmaceutal rigor. In understanding the needs of women and different skin types & issues, he was passionate about allowing women to look and feel more beautiful with products that worked with their skin, choosing ingredients actually beneficial to skin, not just those with superficial effects.

The brand RoC was born in the 1950s and has led the way in skincare innovation being the first hypoallergenic brand and patenting the breakthrough molecules including Retinol. This brand was first in the line of skin-care products with a launch of the first total sun block on the market in 1957! All of the products are formulated to minimize the risk of allergies by choosing materials for their effectiveness and safety. RoC follows strict industry standards and ensures clinical tests are conducted to ensure tolerance and efficacy.
