Remember Mavi jeans? When I received an email from the fabulous team at Mavi, asking me if I’d be interested in trying out a pair, it instantly brought me back. I remember wearing Mavi years ago, and for whatever reason they fell off my radar. I definitely wanted to check them out, especially after I was told that the Alexa mid-rise jeans are perfect because they are higher in the back! Yes, really! No bum-crack showing when picking up your toddler or tying your 5 year old’s shoes. That’s a huge selling feature right there.
Clearly, I don’t look like the models on the Mavi site wearing their stunning Mavi jeans, nor do many of the moms I know, yet I was hopeful that Mavi would deliver in jeans that are great fitting, higher in the back than the typical jean in stores, and make me feel like a rock-star (if mommies can be rock-stars, which Gwen Stefani proves is possible!)
When my new Mavi Alexa Mid-Rise Skinny jeans arrived, I was impressed on sight. It’s true, as Mavi explains, they’re constantly at work in the Mavi Denim Kitchen creating new designs, new washes and more.
My new jeans are an awesome dark denim wash, yet they are super-soft to the touch and feel like my go-to yoga pants when on. No cutting in at the waist, no stiff fabric. And – they fit perfectly! I’ve had some trouble ordering a different denim-brand online because the fit seems to change with the style. Not so for Mavi – the size was bang-on!
And…AND – no bum-crack showing! At all. The Alexa Mid-Rise Skinny fits beautifully, is still low-rise in the front but doesn’t gap out at the back and doesn’t show anything that your children would be embarrassed of you for at the park.

I have never tried Mavi jeans before but I find regular jeans hard to wear because of my body shape. These sound much softer, like yoga pants and probably would fit me a lot better!

I have never heard of Mavi jeans, actually! But the high back sounds great! I bought my first pair of mid-rise jeans just last week because of this VERY issue, although I do wish they were lower in the front like you mentioned about these! I’d love to be able to try a pair!

I haven’t had a new pair of Mavi in years. I literally wore my last remaining pair into the ground this past winter! Apparently, I am weird below the waist and having a horrible time finding pants that are ok in the inseam and waist! My old Mavi’s were the only jeans I’ve had that stay where they were supposed to! I’ve never worn Mavi jeans, but love the style. All I wear is skinny jeans nowadays… but no butt crack is highly appealing to moms like me.
I would love to win, because I definitely don’t want my bum crack to be showing, and I love the fact that they are comfy (so I could look stylish without being uncomfortable!) I had some Mavi’s in university…they looked great, but were very low and “wide leg” style…tee hee…I love the skinny jeans today much better!

In fact one of my ex’s called me by that lol. Story is I was downtown in Toronto at the Eatons Centre this guy I spoke to online spotted me walking to the bathrooms that day. When I came home and got online to MSN or maybe it was ICQ was long ago he just randomly called me Mavi. I was like ermm okay? Then I look down and go wait a second I’m wearing my Mavi’s today.. then he told me he spotted me and I guess he spotted my butt too haha.

I have never worn Mavi Jeans, I love that they are soft to wear and don’t cut in to your waist. It’s great that they are mid-rise and not low-rise.

I am the exact same as you Tenille! I always wore them but they fell off my radar for whatever reason. I recently tried on a pair at Winners and I remembered why I loved them so much! They fit like a glove, especially on girls with a little curve in their behind – LOVE the high back, which I am far too familiar with.
I like the idea of a skinny jean with a waist of some sort and not one that rides down when I sit down or bend over. I will definitely try these jeans. Thanks for the contest.

I used to wear Mavi jeans many years ago and Siver and Mavi were my favorite jeans. They are such a great brand and have kept up with “the times.” There is nothing quite like a quality pair of denim. I love the “no gaping” at the back also! Would love to get my hands on a pair of skinnys!

She had her baby 3 months ago, during her pregnancy @ 12 weeks she was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer, had to have surgery, baby surived and is healthy and she was able to carry to full term.
