Isn’t she a pretty baby?
I’m really hard on my computers. It’s because I use them literally every day, sometimes for many many hours a day, and the amount of photos and videos and files I store borders on hoarding. In our household, I go through a computer about every 2 years or so.
I’ve had my current laptop now for just over two years and it’s still operating really well and is showing no signs of me throwing it off a cliff anytime soon. Two things have contributed to this. The first is that I invested in an external hard drive so I can dump thousands of pictures and files off my laptop easily. The second factor that contributes to my laptop’s long life is that it’s an HP. Up until 2 years ago I was a Dell girl – and now I’m definitely a fan of HP. I haven’t had *any* need for service on my computer in 2 years!
So, when I was given the opportunity to receive and review a brand spankin’ new HP TouchSmart Ultrabook 4 I was really excited! I know the quality behind HP computers and having a new one in the house was going to be a huge bonus for me. You see, my HP G72 has a huge 17.3″ screen which is great – but not so great when I was on a media trip recently and realized I couldn’t fit my laptop into my 15″ luggage! So, there’s something to be said for good things in small packages.
The stand-out feature of this Ultrabook is the TouchSmart screen. In a world of touch screens and Apps, it’s refreshing to see this carry over to notebooks! I wondered if I’d be annoyed at fingerprints on my screen but then realized that I don’t notice them on my other touch devices. I actually don’t notice fingerprints on my screen unless the computer is off and the screen is all dark (the same way I notice fingerprints on my other HP laptop). I also wondered how much I’d use the TouchSmart screen – after all, I’m used to a regular laptop and why use the screen when I can just use the mouse. In simple terms: because it’s fun!
Once you start flipping through the screens, opening Apps and your favorite websites and using all the features of the TouchSmart screen, it’s really – quite literally – what you reach for when using this Ultrabook. It does take some getting used to, like remembering how to get to my desktop and my Start screen (two entirely different things). But once you’re familiar with how to use it, the HP TouchSmart Ultrabook 4 is a streamlined machine perfect for business or personal use. I’m looking forward to taking it on my next press trip, inside my luggage!

I’ve been checking out fun features already preloaded on the Ultrabook and thanks to Snapfish, have made some adorable Valentine’s for the family. Also, with xbox music ready to go with my Microsoft account, I can create my own little Valentine’s mix for my hubby. Fun! I know I’ve only just started seeing all the capabilities of the HP TouchSmart Ultrabook 4 but so far I’m in love with my new pretty baby.

I run multiple business from home and currently have an HP G series notebook. I really need to upgrade to something faster and more reliable. Currently my laptop I am using is not a laptop at all, I must have the lid opened at all times and set at a certain degree or it will not work, I also must have it continually plugged in, despite purchasing multiple new batteries something must be wrong internally with my current laptop, as it does not hold a charge. On top of it all I must have a cooler under my current laptop at all times. I know I need a new one so that I can efficiently run my business’ but it is just not affordable at this time. My current laptop gives me rage.
My laptop is old and doesn’t always work well. When I switch from my phone to my laptop sometimes I try to zoom in by touching the screen. It would be a lot better if that actually worked!

Becasue it looks awesome all slim and stylish like I imagine I always look. Well… my ex had installed one of those programs that keeps track of everything I do on my laptop. Before I found out, and the reason I did find out, she had deleted one of my email addresses. My business accounts information. OUCH ! So, I tossed that laptop and brought the old laptop back to life. It is so old and runs so slow with no room for internal upgrade capabilities. i WOULD LOVE TO SEE THE DELIVERY PERSON AT MY DOOR WITH THIS AWESOME NEW HP TouchSmart Ultrabook 4 😀

Im excited about this new laptop..it is the future! I want this because my current laptop is almost about to fall apart. I have had it for so long . I have no bought one piece of new technology since I started college because I do not have the financial means.

Our desktop is ancient at almost nine years old and our laptop was unfortunately damaged and has issues throughout. This would be like a blessing from above for us. It’s a tough road, for alot of people right now, so I’m sure we’re not alone.
The Art of of Animation Resort would be a perfect match for our family. My brother in law works at an animation studio so the whole family has an interest in that field. My laptop lost its screen about six months ago and I hooked up an old monitor from a very old IBM Aptiva. My first computer ever. And now that has stopped at. Currently, I get on here Internet via my BlackBerry Z10 and my PlayBook. I’m an aspiring writer and at some point I’ll need a computer to transfer all my hand written notes. I don’t have a laptop. It would be convenient. I take care of my 90 year old mom. She is in 2 year remission from non-hodgekins lymphoma. She has had 3 heart attacks and 2 strokes since July 2012. She is on oxygen 100% of the time. Having a laptop would be great to research the terminology used by the neurologist and the cardiologist. It would also be great to use while I am waiting for her appointments.

I would love to win this because computers are part of our everyday lives, they’ve become a necessity. I have an old clunker in my office that the kids use. But it’s not portable so all my important papers have end up everywhere they shouldn’t be because the kids are all playing in there. Something new and portable would make my children very happy (which makes mom very happy as well)

We use our computers both for business and pleasure. I do a lot of work from my computer and my husband and I are also avid sailors. Having a new computer would allow us to get the latest in navigational aids so we are safer on the water.
