Dyson is a force to be reckoned with. Not only do their vacuums continually knock my socks off with their performance, but they’ve now (excuse the pun) blown me away with their remarkable fans.
I wrote a review of the Dyson Air Multiplier this past summer and was more than impressed with the product. My parents (in their 70’s) came to visit and my dad couldn’t believe a fan without blades could create the air flow that it did.
With summer behind us, the fan is now moved to the basement. It was my husband that actually saw a commercial on TV for the Dyson Hot, and I knew that this product would get even more use in our household than the Air Multiplier did (because, let’s face it, it’s cooler more of the time than it’s warm here in Saskatchewan).
I was fortunate to receive a Dyson Hot AM04 to review this fall and can share that this product is used every single day in our household now. I could actually use about 3 of them but thankfully it’s light enough that I can tote it around the house if need be.
Because of the way our house faces, the front living room is always warm but our back bedrooms are cool, especially during the winter months. We put our Dyson Hot in our bedroom, where the baby sleeps, to help warm it up before nap time and bedtime. Because of the precise temperature control, I can set the exact temp just like a thermostat and don’t have to worry about an overheated room. Also, because there are no blades to collect dust, there’s no gross “burning dust” smell when we use it either.
The remote control is a real plus – it’s magnetic so it can be stored right on the unit, and it allows me to turn the fan on from the hallway to warm up the room if the baby is asleep in there. I can also control the oscillation, air flow speed and even the temperature via the remote.
Thanks to the Dyson Hot AM04, we’ll be toasty warm this winter in any room of our household whereas in the past, the only warm one would be the kid that won the spot beside our old heater (not the safest place to be, either!) Consider this a gift for the household for the holidays!

Do you know how awesome a giveaway would be for this? I guess I’ll just force my boss to buy this for me. In our office space (5 offices) my office is the only one without a heating vent because it used to be part of the hallway. I have a space heater and basically it makes my feet super hot! 🙁
I haven’t heard of their HOT product. I love Dyson and the brand.
