Canadian Tire Home Crew: Mission #2

As part of my participation in the Canadian Tire Home Crew, I have been tasked 2 Missions to complete in my home with a product from the House & Home section at Canadian Tire.

I received the Shark Portable Steam Cleaner, and had a (steam) blast cleaning 3 areas in our kitchen a week ago.  With my 1st mission completed, and a sparkling clean kitchen left behind, I was ready for Mission #2: The Bathroom!

I had to pick three areas in our bathroom that I thought could use a cleaning with the Shark Portable Steam Cleaner.

The areas I picked were our shower, our large jet tub, and the bathroom faucets.  The shower is one of those areas that needs to be cleaned more than it is.  The kids are notorious for  using soap to draw on the sliding doors and shower walls, and it’s a huge task to wipe down the walls so unfortunately it gets put off.

Our jet tub is a huge pain (literally) to clean because in order to reach every surface you have to get in the tub (imagine me when I was 8 months pregnant trying to clean it, ugh.)  Again, it doesn’t get done as often as it should because it’s such a big task.

The vanity faucets are one of those annoying things to clean that never seem to get 100% clean.  I love my new faucets but because they are placed so close together, it’s difficult to get in between them to clean thoroughly.  Though I spray an antibacterial cleaner in between the taps, I can’t seem to get the area very clean, which makes me wonder what’s left behind.

After cleaning our kitchen for Canadian Tire Home Crew Mission #1, I knew that this little appliance would be able to handle the job at hand.  This time around I could use one of the other attachments not featured on the Canadian Tire page (there’s 10 in total!).  There’s an attachment that looks like a squeegee, except in this case you’ve got steam coming out too – genius!

I’ll highlight how the cleaning process went in my next post, stay tuned!

I am a chosen member of the Canadian Tire Home Crew and, as such, receive product for review and an honorarium for my participation.
