My Fabulous Life

Fathers Day Plans?

Fathers Day is quickly approaching!  Generally on Mothers Day or Fathers Day we just hang around the house, watch movies, go for walks, or do other family activities together.  My husband is the breakfast-expert in the house but I can make a mean “wife-saver” breakfast so we will start our day off with that (if you’ve never heard of these, Google it, it’s really easy!)

While breakfast is in the oven (it needs to cook for an hour), we will probably stay in our PJ’s and catch Disney Junior’s special programming on June 19th focused on fathers and other male role models.  Disney Junior will be showing new episodes of Imagination Movers and Jake and the Never Land Pirates plus  Handy Manny’s Motorcycle Adventure and more!

Elijah and Nevaeh both like Jake and the Never Land Pirates (Disney Junior’s newest show) so I know they will be especially happy to see a themed episode on Fathers Day.

Weather is always touchy in May and June here (we get more cloudy and rainy days than our fair share, I say) but if it’s nice in the afternoon I think we will go for a long walk (maybe by the river?) and if I’m lucky, snap some great family photos.

What are your plans?

(Disclosure:  I’m part of the Disney Junior Mom program and I receive special perks as part of my affiliation with this group. The opinions on this blog are my own.)

  • Great post, I’m part of the Disney Mom group too and wanted to thank you sooooooooooooo much for the wife-saver tip! I just googled it and it looks super yummy and you have seriously just saved Father’s Day breakfast with that idea. My husband thanks you very, very much!!!

    • Yay Jennifer! I’m glad I could help! It’s also great for boxing day morning, etc…when you want to be with the family and don’t want to me in the kitchen making breakfast for an hour.

There’s tons of variation out there but mine is basic with black forest ham, mushrooms, and green/red peppers mixed with the eggs and poured over yummy Wonder Bread. 😉
