Peg Perego

Parents to be, or experienPeg Perego Strollerced parents at that, take a look at Peg Perego when debating what car seat and stroller system to purchase!  Once I began looking (both in store and online) and comparing products to decide what I did and didn’t want in a travel system, Peg Perego’s features for both stood out.

When I learned about the Pliko Switch stroller from Peg Perego, I knew that this was a stroller I needed to check out!

The one key feature that really stood out to me about this stroller is that the seat can face forward so that your baby can see the world OR it can easily be switched to face mom and dad.

This is huge for me, as it’s always been a pet peeve of mine that everyone else could see (and touch!) baby yet baby couldn’t see her parent’s smiling face.  It’s got to be scary to see the world going past and not see your mom there keeping you safe, don’t you think?

The Peg Perego Pliko Switch comes with the basic seat in a variety of colors (we received it in kiwi), and the seat is so easy to switch from forward to backwards!

Since baby hasn’t made her appearance yet, I borrowed (lol) a friend’s darling 7 month old to help us review.  With snow still covering the ground, we can’t even take the stroller out just yet!  My husband was able to switch the seat from backward to forward facing without having to take baby out of the seat but that probably isn’t recommended.  Still, it shows you how light the seat itself is and how easy it is to snap into place!

Another feature on the Pliko Switch stroller that I love is the step at the back for older siblings to hop on for a ride when they get tired.  This is going to be so perfect for us!  Nevaeh is 3 and while she is an energetic preschooler, there will be times when she’s going to need a break too and this is perfect!

When Nevaeh was born and I was in the same situation with my then-3 year old son, I actually went looking for attachments to add to my (older) stroller and realized right away that with the expensive price tag of these step attachments, I’d have been better off buying a new stroller.  So, having this feature already part of the Peg Perego Pliko Switch is a great thing!

All the features of the Peg Perego Pliko Switch Stroller make me a definite fan, and I’d recommend it to friends and readers as a great item for baby from newborn stage up to the toddler stage.

The Peg Perego Pliko Switch is travel system compatible, meaning you can use your Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP Car Seat in the stroller easily as well – just un-snap the current seat, snap in the Primo Viaggio SIP Car Seat and you’re ready to go with baby right from infancy.

We received the Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP in geranium to review.  At just 11lbs, this car seat is easy to maneuver from the car seat base to the stroller (the release for the seat is at the back…it took us a bit to find it the first time!)

The safety features of this car seat are important to note (and something that you should research and compare when purchasing a car seat because they vary between brands).

The Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP exceeds the most stringent Side Impact Protection test in the world, with a 5 point safety harness including shoulder pads that are sewn on so they won’t slide around (hooray!) and a fail-safe buckle.

The special removable cushion for newborns is included with the car seat, and offers additional comfort and protection for little wobbly heads.  The headrest and padding is made of soft “Confort Dry” microfiber that stays dry and allows proper ventilation as well.

One feature that the mommy of my little product tester liked was the super-easy adjustment mechanism for the harness in the car seat.  Instead of having to practically pull apart the car seat to adjust the straps as baby grows, everything is adjusted from the back of the car seat!  Personally, I think a feature like this means better safety for baby, because parents can easily adjust the straps instead of continually putting off the annoying task.

The Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP Car Seat is perfect for infants 5 to 22 lbs or up to 30 inches.  Canadians, you can use the Where to Buy link on the Peg Perego website to find a location near you that carries these products, so you can check them out for yourself!
