Today, while I was out running errands, I heard “Empire State of Mind” by the Glee Cast on the radio for the first time. I had heard just a snippit of it on a preview commercial of Season Two, but hearing it in full today made me giddy. I’m a Gleek. A proud one too!
Season Two of Glee premieres September 21st, and the songs featured in the episode have already been leaked. Aside from “Empire State of Mind”, the cast will also cover Lady Gaga’s “Telephone”, Poison’s “Every Rose Has It’s Thorn” (!!!), Travie McCoy’s “Billionaire”, along with a few musical theater favorites from A Chorus Line, The King and I, and Dreamgirls.
I’ve been watching reruns of Season One this summer, having no other way to get my Glee fix. Now, the full dvd of Glee: The Complete First Season
This DVD set includes 7 discs (!!) full of Glee goodness (the Blu-ray set has 4 discs). Aside from the (phenomenal) 22 episodes of the first season, Gleeks will also be treated to tons of special features including but not limited to: Full-Length Audition Pieces, The Power of Madonna (a behind the scenes look at this episode which gave me goosebumps from beginning to end!) and Bite Their Style: Dress Like Your Favorite Gleek. The special features alone give you an additional 2 hours of viewing time.
Fans of Glee will love owning this complete collection and relish in it during rerun season this winter (ugh, how long will it last this time?) I can not wait until the new season (psssst: the Britney Spears episode is the second one in this season) and will be singing along all the way.
