Gossip Girl is one of my guilty pleasures, comparable I suppose to my mom watching Dynasty in the 80’s. So what if I’m a 30-something mom in Canada – weekly I can get into comfy clothes, choose my favorite bad-for-you snacks, and watch Serena and Blair (who I think is absolutely gorgeous) mitigate life as part of New York’s elite. I have no idea why the show appeals to me, and many other women my age, so much. Living vicariously? Perhaps. Would I trade my current life to be a 19 year old sipping Cosmos and sleeping with the likes of actors like Chace Crawford? Not for a second, but it’s fun to watch isn’t it?
