On April 13th Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment releases The Great Mouse Detective Mystery in Mist Edition on DVD! Renowned detective Basil of Baker Street takes on his archenemy, evil genius Dr. Ratigan with the entire city of London at stake.

This is old school Disney but a movie that I don’t recall seeing when I was younger. We watched this movie on an afternoon where the weather outside was lousy and we needed something new to check out.
The characters were unknown to all of us, so it took a little convincing for my kids to settle in and watch (they have their favorites and stick to them!) but they were entertained in the end. There are some scary scenes that you may not find in newer Disney releases (or maybe they are there too but I’m just too exhausted to notice most days, ha!) but overall this was a fun way to spend a cold afternoon with the kids.
