Giveaways and Reviews

BFC, Ink.

Moms have you heard of these dolls and related products? Until recently, BFC, Ink. wasn’t on my radar at all but I’m so glad to have learned about them. BFC (which stands for Best Friends Club) focuses on a group of 5 girls who form a club to offer each other advice, friendship and of course have fun. This really reminded me of 7th grade when I formed a club with my friends for the very same reasons (one of those friends still reads this blog from time to time, how cool is that?)

The website does a great job of introducing parents and their kids to each of the girls, so before you buy one you could possibly make your decision based on the personal story of each girl. The stories behind the characters have come a long way since I played with dolls as a kid. When we were children, companies marketed families to us with a mom, a dad, a brother and sister, right?

BFC, Ink. girls each have a unique story that girls in 2010 can relate to. Kaitlin, the doll we were sent, has a dad and step-mother and didn’t exactly get along with her step-mother in the beginning. She also has a baby brother now.

The dolls each come with a second outfit (which is only the beginning, I know I’d have had so much fun dressing up the BFC, Ink. dolls!) and my favorite feature – a journal with a lock and key!

Back in junior high, when I had my own best friends group, journalling was a big part of it so this really hit home with me. I guess writing has always been a part of me. Who knew 20 years later I’d be a mama blogger on the internet (what the heck is the Internet, my 13 year old self would have asked!)

Other products available from BFC, Ink. include jewelry, electronic games, board games and BFC books (I think my 13 year old self would have been a fan of the books for sure). When out shopping for a birthday gift or maybe end-of-school year gift, check out BFC, Ink. online first and then look for them in a store near you. When the alternatives on the store shelves can make you blush, BFC, Ink. is a refreshing look at being a regular girl.
1 of my readers is going to win a BFC, Ink. doll of their choice. To enter, visit BFC, Ink. and read about each of the girls, then leave me a comment here telling me which doll you would choose if you won.
