The first time I had the opportunity to try Shoo Shoos was at the beginning of this year. Two features were immediately appealing to me about the Smiley Shoes from Shoo Shoos – obviously the little smiley face on the bottom because they made the cutest little prints in the sand, but also the wide elastic opening at the ankle.
There’s no velcro on the Smiley Shoes, simply slip them on and off. The Smiley Shoes are also wider than most other shoes for babies and toddlers that I have tried. My daughter doesn’t have chubby baby feet anymore but I know moms who struggle with getting their adorable new shoe purchase on their children’s piggies…er…feet.
We received one of the new additions to the Shoo Shoos Smiley collection. The Rose Suede Wrap Smiley was my pick for favorite new shoe from Shoo Shoos this Fall. I liked the criss-cross wrap look, making it appear there was a velcro closure when there isn’t. The colors are also great – the darker fuchsia is good for Fall and the lighter pink (and green) accents make it easy to match up with my daughter’s wardrobe.
The flexible non-slip sole is great for growing feet, and like the other Shoo Shoos we own, the elasticized ankle makes them easy to slip on and off. Made with soft, natural leathers, they are easy to keep clean too.
