Both my kids love books – my son began reading before his third birthday (total mommy brag there) and my daughter of course just loves looking at them as she’s not quite 2 yet. She didn’t have any particular favorites until we received 4 books by the Baby Genius company from Meadowbrook Press.
Since we received these books, Nevaeh brings me or my husband 5 Little Monkeys Jumpin’ On The Bed several times a day to read. She tries to say the verses along with us and of course we think it’s the cutest thing ever. The colors are bold, the illustrations lively and simple and the rhyme of course is an old favorite.
Other books in from Baby Genius include The Wheels on the Bus (we have fun doing the actions and my 5 year old loves showing his sister how), Old MacDonald Had a Farm (not only do children learn the sounds animals make but also how to take care of the animals as well), and 1 Little, 2 Little, 3 Little Elephants which helps teach counting.
