Imagination Movers (closed)

I love this line from the Imagination Movers website because I think it captures Imagination Movers perfectly. Moms, you know what it’s like listening to children’s music – it can be annoying, and I find myself secretly making fun of the songs in my head a lot of time. Various singers and groups have tried to make children’s music a little more tolerable with limited success. Would Imagination Movers be the same? When we watch it here at home on tv, I’ve found myself humming along to the tunes, to my surprise!

I didn’t realize that the tunes came before the show – Imagination Movers debuted on Disney Channel in 2008. The show follows Rich, Scott, Dave and Smitty as they solve “Idea Emergencies” in the Idea Warehouse through music, joking, and of course movement. The Imagination Movers are loved by children including my own. Before Disney Channel, Imagination Movers were on national satellite radio and Radio Disney (followers are called Gearheads, by the way!)

We cranked up this cd and my 5 year, 2 year old and myself had a little dance party the first afternoon we received it. So much fun! My kid’s favorite is “Jump Up” and I really liked “Mother In You”.
