Testing Tide Ultra Stain Release #GetsItOut

Disclosure: I am a P&Gmom/mamanP&G ambassador. As part of my affiliation with this group I receive products and have been compensated to put Tide to the stain test. The opinions on this blog are my own.

Spring is most definitely here (I think this actually finally holds true for my readers in Ontario!) and I know I’m not alone when I throw open the back door, take a deep breath of fresh air, and usher the kids out the door to finally GO PLAY! Whether it’s the backyard or the schoolyard, spring brings with it a ton of dirt, grass and who-knows-what-else on my kid’s clothes. Just this week my 11-year-old triumphantly told me that at school he was “chest deep in a whole filled with dirt”. Wonderful.

This spring, I’m part of a team of bloggers ready to put Tide Ultra Stain Release to the test. At home, regular consumers simply put a product to the test by using it in their day to day cleaning. I get to purposely get clothing stained and dirty and then see if Tide Ultra Stain Release can really stand up to the challenge.

Tide removes over 100 stains in one wash, so something like jam should be easy-peasy right?

We wanted to ensure we were very thorough, so I enlisted the help of something who knows how to make a good mess.

After we made a big mess of our t-shirt, I made sure to be fair and blot the jam stains and remove any excess.

Then, I added Tide Ultra Stain Release right to the stain.

Check out the lid of the Tide bottle – look at those tiny brushes ready to help remove stains and work the product in. I love this!

I used the bristles in the lid to work in the Tide Ultra Stain Release liquid, and tossed it in the wash, hoping for the best. After all, what would I do if I had to tell you that the stain didn’t come out, that I had to wash it twice? The review process would be complete, but it certainly wouldn’t be a shining star for Tide.

After a regular wash, and then tossed in the dryer, this was the result. Albeit a little wrinkly, the t-shirt was fully inspected and I’m happy to report that the jam stains (both blueberry and grape) were successfully removed using Tide Ultra Stain Release.

Hooray for a successful result in challenge #1. Stay turned for our next stain challenge. I hope it involves wine. 😉
