Happy Canada Day, eh!
If you’re looking for something fun to add to your Canada Day (and in the US, Independence Day) celebrations – consider a candy treat!
Inspired by Pinterest photos of vodka soaked gummy bears, I wondered how I could make it a little more festive. Remembering that one of my favorite gummy candies is raspberries I found the perfect vodka treat!
All you need to do is find a glass bowl, then pour vodka over your gummy raspberries until they are covered. Then cover the bowl (essential or the vodka will evaporate!) and place in the fridge for at least 2 days to allow the candy to soak up the vodka. This picture was taken after a 3 day vodka bath!
Of course, because this is candy, keep it away from children and when eating these delicious treats with your adult friends be careful – the vodka content can sneak up on you!
Enjoy your long weekend festivities everyone!
Hah! What a great idea !
I think I need those. Stat. I don’t have 3 days to wait.
So neat… I’ve seen the gummy bears, too – I’m interested in trying something like these! 🙂 I also have yet to eat alcoholic watermelon! (Tequila would be my choice, though!)
Love this idea, they add a perfect little garnish to a martini or cocktail.
Love it! Definitely going to try this; thanks!
Love it! We make those with gummy bears and call them drunken gummies!
I have had gummi bears with vodka before, I will try the raspberry gummies!
Wonderful Idea!!! i am so going to make these this holiday… will have to keep them away from the kids !! i wonder if it would work with other types of alcohol? lol
OMG SERIOUSLY, I AM SO DOING THIS!!! I don’t normally drink vodka ever, but this would be the only exception! this is a good idea for my sisters wedding this summer. Thanks so much for the awesome idea!!!!
