I have a beautiful new addition to our dining room that, had I not received an invite to review a product from Posterjack, I would not have had. And that’s a shame. This new addition is a stunning 24×26 Gallery Wrapped Canvas featuring our most recent family photo taken at our youngest’s baptism in October. I hired Girl With The Red Hair Photography out of Regina, SK, to capture the day for us and she did an amazing job. I originally planned on framing the 8×10 photo of our family, and then I was contacted about checking out Posterjack.

I have one wrapped canvas that I had done a few years ago and meant to get more done, but an experience last summer left me annoyed and so I put off doing it. What experience? Well, you see, a company based in china had a great deal online for canvas prints – and it was too good to be true. It turns out that the canvas prints were just rolled canvas, not stretched on frame. So, it was then up to me to pay more money to get the canvas prints now framed. I wanted a photo of my parents done for the holidays so I searched out a local framing shop. You already know how this ends right? Yep, almost $200 later I had the canvas framed. Poorly. Very poorly. I gave the framed canvas to my parents for Christmas last year and though they loved it, it doesn’t hang on their wall today almost a year later. Why? The canvas used was so poor, so thin, that it is rippled. The framing store that stretched it couldn’t eliminate the ripples and so, there it is.

Lesson learned.

When you’re going to pay money to have a favorite photo printed on canvas and then stretched on a frame, go with a company that has uses great materials and takes pride in their product. Posterjack is that kind of company.

Posterjack uses a thick 450gsm canvas made from 100% pure cotton and an authentic canvas weave. The canvas is manufactured in Montreal and is whitened using an environmentally safe process (unlike chemicals used overseas on cheap canvas). When I received my new Gallery Wrapped Canvas, it was obvious right away that this canvas was vastly better than my previous canvas experience.

Shipping was surprisingly fast (I expected to wait a few weeks and was surprised when it showed up at my door much earlier) and the product was expertly packed. I loved the canvas immediately and started searching out the perfect spot. I found it, at the head of our dining table on the wall. It’s noticeable from our front landing and has been noticed right away by friends stopping by. Of course, I’m more than happy to share where it’s from and have encouraged others to check out how to get a posterjack photo on canvas as well!

I said at the beginning of this post that it’s a shame that I would not have had my beautiful Gallery Wrapped Canvas had I not been contacted to review Posterjack, and it’s true. This canvas is going to be in our household for years and years, a piece that will become such a part of our household that there will come a time when we won’t remember not having it. I’m so grateful to have it.
