Sunflower Girls Boutique Couture Pettiskirts

My oldest daughter (4 this month) just completed her first creative-dance class and loved every minute of it. She is definitely a little princess and will happily show friends, visitors, and her preschool teachers her “ballet moves” if given the chance. The kids were instructed to just wear comfortable clothing for the class at this age, but watching the older girls come into the studio for other classes, I couldn’t help but smile at the adorable pettiskirts out there for little girls. The fun thing is that these are not just for dance anymore – pettiskirts are not only adorable for staged photos and princess parties, but they also make great clothing for imaginary play at home as well.

Sunflower Girls Boutique is a Canadian online store, owned by a Winnipeg mom. What started as a search for a reasonably priced tutu turned into Sunflower Girls Boutique which now showcases tutus, tops, rompers, fairy dresses and more! I was introduced to the site this summer and was sent a beautiful pettiskirt for Everleigh, and when browsing the site to write this post for the gift guide, I knew I had to order Nevaeh a Fairy Dress for our Disney trip next month (for $16.95 how can I not?!)

Back to the pettiskirts! Sunflower Girls Boutique distributes Pettiskirts in Canada for little girls ages 1-7 years but they have an adjustable waist and can easily fit on babies younger than a year (making for some pretty precious photos, check the site!) yet can still grow with them.

We were sent a Couture Pettiskirt (double layered and made of over 35 yards of chiffon!) for Everleigh and I’ve been trying to find the perfect opportunity for a professional photo shoot but for now, at home fun is where it’s at! Nevaeh is incredibly jealous which is another reason the Fairy Dress order is imminent.
