There has been a shift in our household since the summer months. My tween – officially 12 this month – has started to shop in my closet. I remember I was about the same age when I started doing the same thing with my mom. A closet full of clothes to call your own, but somehow having a few items of choice from mom’s closet is an added bonus. The same holds true for footwear now too, and my daughter is now about a half size smaller than my foot size. That means that, since the fall, she has been wearing my BEARPAW boots. For myself, I picked the BEARPAW HARMONY. The women’s Harmony insulated winter boots feature 200g insulation (200g HiberTech foil-backed, non-woven insulation) for lasting warmth plus wrap laces and a subtle wedge heel for rugged yet refined cold weather style. You can find the BEARPAW HARMONY at BearpawShoes.ca ($134.99). A note: You can find a similar BEARPAW style here in Canada called KRISTA at The Shoe Company, Shoe Warehouse and DSW.ca for $109.99, however the KRISTA style does not have the 200g HiberTech insulation.

BEARPAW boots come pre-treated with Rust-Oleum® NeverWet, a superhydrophobic technology offering protection from rain, ice, mud — even accidental spills. So while your feet are staying warm inside the sheepskin and wool-blend interior, you don’t have to give that snowdrift or puddle a second thought.


Now that my tween’s feet are almost the same size as mine, I’m sure she’ll be wearing my boots some days as well (she’s actually been wearing her BEARPAW HELEN boots every day now so I haven’t had a chance to “borrow” them myself!)
