Going to the beach with a toddler is a whole different ball game than going with a small baby! Instead of relaxing and strategically placing Elizabeth in the shade, I’m busy putting a thick layer of sunscreen on the little wiggle worm and crossing my fingers that we didn’t forget anything at home! Our list of things that we’ll need for a day at the beach seems to constantly be getting longer and longer. These days she requires a lot more stimulation to keep her occupied, which usually means I end up bringing what feels like hundreds of different toys every time we head to the lake. Thanks to some new sand toys from PLAYMOBIL, our beach trips have gotten a whole lot less complicated!

The bed of the Dump Truck detaches and can be used as a mould to build a sand castle, and the bucket on the Excavator comes off and becomes the perfect shovel to fill a bucket or dig a hole in the sand! Each vehicle comes with it’s own PLAYMOBIL 1.2.3 figure, allowing your little one to use their imagination even more as they build their own make believe world for the little characters out of sand!

Every single one of these toys is made very sturdily, giving me confidence that we’ll be using them for many years to come! There are so many different ways to use each toy, which really minimizes the number of toys that we find ourselves lugging out to the beach. They are fantastic for outside play, but also super easy to clean up and bring in the house for your child to play with on rainy days or during those long, cold Canadian winters!
