Tackle Hunger in Regina With Purolator

This Saturday, September 15th, Purolator is teaming up with the Saskatchewan Roughriders to tackle hunger as part of the Purolator Tackle Hunger program, in support of Regina Food Bank. This is the eighth of nine Purolator Tackle Hunger® (PTH) Game Day Food Drives across Canada and it’s a pretty amazing program you need to know about!

Starting at 4:30 p.m. to the end of the first quarter (game starts at 7:30 p.m. CST) at Mosaic Stadium, Purolator is asking Saskatchewan Roughriders fans to help tackle hunger in Regina and surrounding areas by bringing non-perishable food items or cash donations to the Purolator volunteers stationed at the stadium gates.

In return, fans will not only have the opportunity to take their photo with the Grey Cup, but they will also get a chance to win a Saskatchewan Roughriders jersey autographed by Charleston Hughes!

Did you know that, on average, 9000 Regina citizens use the Food Bank every single month? Think about that number. Nine Thousand. Regina families are in most need of staples such as canned stews, powdered milk, peanut butter, canned meat and fish, pasta, soup, baby food and formula but of course any items you can provide are always helpful so bring what you can.

In 2017, Saskatchewan Roughriders fans donated more than 59,000 pounds of food for local families through the Purolator Tackle Hunger program and I know this year we – just like our team – are going to do even better! 😉 The Purolator Tackle Hunger website will update the stats as they get them, and I know Saskatchewan Roughrider fans are going to SHOW UP for this!

If you can’t make it to the game, you can always pass along a donation with a friend who is, or you can hop online and donate at make an online donation to Regina Food Bank at purolatortacklehunger.com.

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post in partnership with Purolator. All opinions are, as always, my own! P.S. GO RIDERS!
