We had a snowstorm in Saskatchewan this week – our first major snowstorm in years and yes, we’re still talking about it several days later (and still digging out). What did I do while snow-stayed indoors? First, I knocked out a few more chapters in my book club book this month (Ready Player One, so good!) and then I promptly booked a cabin for a few nights this summer. I can’t wait to grab some books and settle in at the beach or on the deck this summer and read.
My environment matters. While reading a chapter or two on a road trip or while waiting for a doctor’s appointment is always a way to pass the time, I love creating a cozy spot, perhaps lighting a candle and pouring a cup of coffee, and diving in to a good story. really GOOD customer service from indigo online…I purchase books there a lot because the min to order with free shipping is $25 (lots of times they have free shipping anyways) and I had a book that was a bunch of short stories to a series….the book all of a sudden had repeat pages and then POOF, in the middle of one of the stories, a hunk was missing….publisher error YES, but I fired off a concern and indigo has a new book on the way for me as we speak!!
