  • I love being off of work with my kiddos (blessed to work at a school) and I love lazy summer nights with bonfires, kids playing and laughter on the back deck.

  • I am a sunshine and heat sort of gal, so everything about summer is a joy. Birds singing, being outdoors not freezing or bundled or wet, grilled foods, bike rides, patios ….

  • I love the longer hours our daylight and being able to spend more time outdoors.

  • I love sitting out at night by the fire and roasting marshmallows and wieners, and listening to the tunes!!

  • I love having my grandson stay with us for a few weeks during the summer holidays. This year he’ll be with us 2 weeks in July and 1 in August, so we’ll be spending lots of time at the beach, playgrounds, splash pads, picnics in parks, amusement parks, local festivals, plus watching his baseball, soccer, & summer hockey games.

  • The thing I look forward to the most about summer arriving, besides basking in the glorious sun, is planting my vegetable and flower gardens. There is nothing better picking fresh vegetables for dinner or looking at a vase of your beautiful cut flowers. Heaven.

  • I’M IN SK as well , and it was 29 yesterday so I headed to the city and came home with plants….and then today when it was 20 I headed into the city earlier to buy some actual groceries…but also had plants jump into the cart because they wanted to come home with me. I think I have room for about 3 more baskets as well I want to plant something in the one tree stump. I love the time I get to spent planting the flowers and early mornings watering everything down. Sadly I get home too late from work (10pm) to see how the plants did during the day.
