Happy 30th Famoso

Famoso Inc., based in Vancouver, British Columbia, is celebrating the grand opening of Famoso Pizzeria + Bar Eastgate in Regina, their 30th franchised location. This is the third Regina Famoso location to open in the last two years, and the second since Famoso Inc. unveiled its new brand identity as Famoso Pizzeria + Bar.

Eastgate’s Famoso Pizzeria + Bar is the latest design that will be seen in all Famoso franchised locations moving forward. The newest location is a social gathering space, prominently showcasing their bar offerings, with a state-of-the-art center bar set-up and multiple high-definition televisions surrounding it, meant to draw a sports loving crowd and encourage social gatherings at the restaurant. Famoso Pizzeria + Bar Eastgate will also feature new kitchen amenities that provide an expanded pasta and appetizer menu, along with the signature custom tiled bell-shaped oven imported from Italy already seen in all Famoso locations.

Todd Taylor is the general manager and an operating partner of Famoso Pizzeria + Bar Eastgate. Born and raised in Regina, Todd is a local boy through and through and he brings his passion and love for the city and its people to Famoso Eastgate’s day-to-day operations. With over 25 years of professional management experience in both the restaurant and banking industries, Todd’s newest leadership venture at Famoso is a natural fit for the franchise.

  • The Westhills location in Calgary is the closest to my daughter’s home that I visited when I was there.

  • I’ve never been but there are ones in Toronto and Waterloo (about the same distance). Would love to take my sister if I won

  • I think the south common one in Edmonton is closest but I also have one a few blocks from work. Delicious!

  • The closest is Commercial Drive but it’s not the location that we go to – I’ve actually never been to that location – we always go to Morgan Crossing when we’re shopping up a hunger storm!

  • The closest to me is the location in Toronto. I haven’t been there yet. I will be in downtown Toronto next week, so I will swing by to check them out.

  • Bloor Street, Toronto is closest to me – I haven’t been, and it’s practically a hop, skip, and a jump from me (Toronto standards, anyway!)

  • Red Deer, AB! I didn’t know they were 30 year old! They open in Red Deer not that long ago! I love their Margerita pizza! Yum and of course the gelato is the beat.

  • The Famoso location that is the closest to me and the one that I frequently visit is the Bloor St W location at the Annex part of Toronto. I just went there with my friend last Tuesday. The food and service was incredible as usual 😀

  • We visit our son and family in Saskatoon quite a bit so I would say either of the Saskatoon locations. I have not been to Famoso but was checking out menu and definitely will check it out next time in Saskatoon.

  • The closest Famoso is at High Street mall in Abbotsford. Yes I have been and I loved it. They were very inviting, fun atmosphere and great food. I highly recommend the meatball appy and the gelato.
