Ask a group of Disney fans who their favorite Disney Princess is, and you may find (as I have) that Ariel seems to top the list. I suppose it depends on age. When little princesses learn that Ariel not only is a princess but is also a mermaid, that makes her pretty spectacular. After watching the Disney movie and singing along to the soundtrack, we learn to love Ariel even more.
Our girls have been fortunate enough to have met Ariel on more than one occasion at Disney Parks, and every time they make a bee line for her. I think there’s something about Ariel’s curiosity, her desire to learn everything she can about the world around her and the world further away, that speaks to little kids.
This month, as part of our collaboration with Hasbro Disney #DreamBigPrincess, we received some Ariel themed items to play with and review!
The Disney Princess Little Kingdom Ariel’s Sea Castle was the definite highlight and has been played with the most since we opened it. The set includes some smaller pieces so it’s best for children 4+.
We liked that it can be played with at the kitchen table or on the deck, and of course any little figures you have can be used in addition to the set.
We also received a Disney Princess Ariel Doll, so beautiful in her blue dress just like the one she was wearing when we saw her in Walt Disney World in 2013!
Disney Princess Spin & Swim Ariel has now become a permanent part of my bathtub in my en suite, where my girls have hour long baths on the weekends. Yes, when I’m sipping my wine and watching Netflix I have Ariel with me now too! The girls love her for bath time because you can wind up the seashell on her back, and away Flounder and Sebastien go – spinning in circles around her.
