HASK Beauty Giveaway

HASK HAIR CAREBy Tara Richter
Anyone who lives through a Canadian winter knows that cold-dry air can really do a number on hair, skin and nails.  My curly hair takes a double beating since curls tend to require extra moisture.  That is why I’m absolutely loving the Monoi Coconut Oil Shampoo and Conditioner from Hask.
First off, the smell of coconut is just amazing and it always takes my memory back to the turquoise ocean and white sand beaches of Cuba. “Monoi”  is actually a Tahitian word meaning scented-oil and is a perfume oil made from soaking petals of Tahitian gardenia flowers in coconut oil.  The fragrance alone of this shampoo/conditioner combo makes it worth trying.  I find the shampoo to be very gentle and non-drying and the conditioner leaves my hair extremely soft, yet light-weight which really allows those curls to form and last all day.  I did make the mistake the first time of using TOO much conditioner (thinking that MORE moisture is better right?).  My hair ended up being SO soft that it really didn’t “do” much of anything when I tried to style it.  It’s nice to know that a little goes a long way so that I can enjoy this product for quite some time before having to restock.
If you’re not a coconut lover like I am, Hask hair products also come in Mint Almond Oil, Argan Oil from Morocco, Macadamia Oil as well as offering specialty care products including Keratin Protein to soften and renew.  Hask also offers an entire hair styling collection including sprays and gels.
Give the gift of amazing hair-care this Christmas with a bottle of shampoo and conditioner.  These products make a fantastic stocking stuffer or stand alone gift!  Hask Hair products can be found at various retailers across Canada including Loblaws, Walmart, Giant Tiger, Rexall, Overwaitea, and Lawtons Drugs.
