Lisa Reviews Color By Amber

Color By AmberBy Lisa Dutton…

I am a self proclaimed jewelry junkie. I love costume jewelry especially for my job as a news anchor. Keeping my wardrobe fresh is challenging (and costly)! I often turn to jewelry to change up the same dress over and over, so far nobody’s noticed!

Recently a friend of mine introduced me to a new line of jewelry called Color by Amber. Upon going through the catalogue I immediately loved it. The pieces are colorful and memorable. They all seem to have a neat twist.

My favourite piece this season happens to be the show stopper featured on the cover of the 2015 spring/summer catalogue. The lulu necklace is so unique! I describe it as “industrial meets pretty”. Every time I wear it viewers comment on my “cool necklace”.

Shopping Color by Amber is easy – the catalogue makes matching up complimentary earrings and bracelets simple. These blue dimension earrings make a statement, but are incredibly lightweight.

Lisa Dutton Color By AmberNow for my addiction… Color by Amber ‘skinnies’! These bracelets are ridiculously cute, comfortable, and affordable! Skinnies are sold individually, or in 3’s or 5’s (the more you buy, the better the deal). Stack em’ up, the more the better. This is a trend worth ‘overdoing’! (search #CBAarmparty on Instagram!)

There is a story behind Color by Amber that’s as interesting as the jewelry itself. Each piece is made of something called eco-resin (comprised of 40% recycled material). Within this eco-resin is something called an “interlayer”. Interlayers include natural elements from around the globe such as hand-spun silks, leaves, organic cottons, even grasses and mohair! These interlayers are encapsulated in the eco-resin to create these truly unique pieces. No one piece is alike! The eco-resin is lightweight, comfortable and durable. In other words- it functions!

Color by Amber not only gives style, it gives back through their ‘Full Circle’ collection. This collection is made with the help of women artisans in places like Nepal, Senegal and Mali. A protion of proceeds from the Full Circle collections help fund initiatives to improve their quality of life. So you can feel good about your shopping ladies!
