Ask most anyone to recall their favourite childhood memories – mention peanut butter, and inevitably you’ll hear a story about a backyard fort, a kitchen snack with mom, or making a peanut butter and jam sandwich for the first (triumphant!) time. Peanut butter is synonymous with childhood.
There are, however, many other ways to enjoy peanut butter beyond the PB&J sandwich and I recently shared my Celebration Peanut Butter Bites recipe, which was a hit among my thirty-something mommy crowd at a recent get-together. Not just for kids, peanut butter can be utilized in more ways than one might think!
While my recipe was certainly more celebratory, I found a delicious sounding recipe for Awake Peanut Butter Bites made with coffee at Kraft that I am eager to try as well!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup Kraft All Natural Peanut Butter
1/4 cup honey
2 Tbsp. Maxwell House Original Roast Coffee
1 cup large flake rolled oats
2 oz. Baker’s Semi-Sweet Chocolate, chopped
2 oz. Baker’s White Chocolate, chopped
Instructions:
Mix peanut butter, honey and coffee grounds in medium bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients.
Refrigerate 30 min.
Roll into 20 (1-inch) balls, using about 2 Tbsp. for each.
