Say Hello To YES TV

YES TV logoAfter the chaos of our busy summer winding down and the kids are back into the routine of school and activities, one of the things I’m looking forward to next is fall TV. Ever since I was a kid, I love the anticipation of the new shows, returning favourites and allowing myself the indulgence of some guilty favourites.

This fall, YES TV is launching and it’s posturing to be THE hottest destination for all your favourite fall shows. Airing exclusively on YES TV this fall will bring some of your familiar favourite programs like X-Factor UK, Judge Judy (my dad’s favourite!), Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and The Biggest Loser.

Fans of The Biggest Loser will be really interested in seeing this fall’s theme. The Biggest Loser: Glory Days takes 20 former athletes ranging from NFL superstars to Olympic champions and gives them the opportunity to change their lives for the better. I know many sports fans will want to catch this season.

Back to guilty pleasures – I’m looking forward to seeing Simon Cowell back in primetime as a judge in the 11th season of X-Factor UK. With Simon, you either love him or hate him and I (obviously) love him! I’m very vocal on my frustration with the “everyone gets a participation ribbon” movement in sports and schools and think healthy competition builds character and is good for you! Now, perhaps Simon is a little stern sometimes, but in the end I think he helps shape and mold the entertainers he sees who have the most potential, and stops giving false hope to those who don’t!

X-Factor airs Tuesdays & Wednesdays at 8pm in Ontario & at 9pm in Alberta.
