It felt like slow motion as I watched my white hand blender fall over on the counter and topple towards the kitchen sink, full of hot soapy water. “Nooooooo” I heard come from my mouth as I lunged toward the sink, hoping to grab the end of the blender before it was completely gone; but I was too late. I have to admit, I use a hand blender All-The-Time and was therefore quite disappointed with the loss of my old-faithful white hand blender. In my opinion, it is a kitchen essential to be used for making purees, creamed soups, salsa, mashed potatoes, or just about anything that needs to be blended together. So imagine my joy and delight when asked to review the Moulinex Hand Blender!

I have to admit, this version by Moulinex totally kicks a–, uh, butt on my previous blender! One of its great little features, that will prevent future death by drowning, is the detachable stainless steel shaft, which makes for really easy cleaning. It also comes with a 500 ml chopper & lid attachment. I’ve used it to mix up eggs, pancake mix, pudding, cake mix, guacamole, and other sauces. I simply toss all the ingredients in the container, attach the lid, lock in the hand-held end of the blender, and press the single button to blend. It’s really amazing how fast and how well the Moulinex Hand Blender mixes all the ingredients together. I love that the lid prevents the contents from splattering all over my walls & counter too. The blade inside the container is removable, turning it into a ready-made serving dish, or instead it can be covered and popped in the fridge for use at a later time. The detachable blade also makes it so easy to scoop out the entire contents of the container without having to scrape around or under the blades; making clean-up easy and safe too!
