Create Your Own Happily Ever After

ever after high

It’s an age old discussion – are we destined to follow in the path of our parents, our history, or are we better to break the mold and create our own happily ever after?  Each has risks and rewards.  Perhaps the best approach would be to take your heritage and use it moving forward on your own path.

But what if you were the daughter of Disney’s Evil Queen or The Mad Hatter?  Oh my, that is a legacy you may not want to share with your high school friends.  Perhaps being the daughter of Snow White or Sleeping Beauty is more brag-worthy, though it could get tiring always being “good”.

ever after highI love the idea behind Ever After High!

Welcome to the world of Ever After High, where the spellbinding teenagers of classic fairytale legends choose to either follow their parents’ fabled footsteps or discover their own Happily Ever After.

Meet the Royals and the Rebels, led by Apple White and Raven Queen. The Royals embrace their pre-written destiny and work hard to prepare for their Happily Ever After, while the Rebels are learning that destiny isn’t written in permanent ink, but can be re-written and re-written.

Every girl has a little “Royal” and “Rebel” in them, and Ever After High is based on this premise: that the story of your life begins when you make it your own. Your “Happily Ever After” belongs to you, and you have the power to rewrite your destiny.

Girls can enroll online at www.everafterhigh.com, where they can unlock the world of Ever After High through webisodes, games, avatars, and interactive content.

EAH_LogoThis Christmas is an Ever After High one in our house as my daughter (6) will be receiving all 4 dolls above thanks to my friends at Mattel. While it’s not obvious they are the daughters of such famous characters, once I explain it to her she will be enchanted bythem. We recently watched another Disney Princess daughter, Ariel’s little girl Melody, take on her destiny in a DVD movie so my daughter is really interested in that mother/daughter dynamic. I love it!

The Ever After Collection seen above includes:
Apple White (daughter of Snow White)
Briar Beauty (daughter of Sleeping Beauty)
Raven Queen (daughter of The Evil Queen)
Madeline Hatter (daughter of The Mad Hatter)

The everafterhigh.com site looks like a lot of fun.  In case you’re wondering, the manufacturer’s recommended age for Ever After high dolls is ages 6+ so we’re just at the beginning of our adventure with these dolls (and of course, her understanding of their world!)

Look for Ever After High dolls at places like Toys R Us ($29.99-$34.99) and Walmart ($28.82-$34-82) among others (the higher prices are for the Ever After High Legacy dolls).

This holiday season may be just the time to shut the storybooks you thought you knew and open an all-new chapter with Ever After High, where the end…is just the beginning.
