The only part worse than suffering with acne as a teenager, is to suffer with acne as an adult. For me, it’s one of those things I have struggled with since hormones kicked in when I was a young teen. Over the years I’ve tried just about every single concoction out there for acne, from medications, creams and lotions.
Even before receiving the Oxy and pHisoderm products to review, these were already the products I have come to know and trust for managing my own skin flare ups which are, for me, directly correlated to the fluctuating hormones throughout the month. These products work great for keeping redness, inflammation to a minimum and wonderful to promote healing. I prefer to use the Oxy Emergency Cleanser (with Benzyol Peroxid-proven to kill acne bacteria and help heal blemishes) when I know flare ups are likely or occurring. While I find it too harsh to use each and everyday throughout the month, I know I can switch to and trust the gentle, yet effective cleansing power of the pHisoderm face washes.
