StoneFire Authentic Flatbread

When I think of Naan bread, I for some reason always picture it next to a steaming hot bowl of buttered chicken. So it’s quite naturally what I cooked up when I received samples of StoneFire Authentic Flatbreads including Naan bread. The soft, simple flatbread was the perfect pairing to the spicy chicken, rice & sauce.

naan-origOf course there is more to Naan bread than just buttered chicken. Stonefire suggests using it for pizza base, appetizer, or garlic bread. It can also be used for a grilled panini, quesadillas or cut up and used to eat with dips. Stonefire’s Naan bread comes in many great varieties to suit your meal including original, garlic, whole grain or sweet chili.

Other delicious flatbread varieties include pizza crusts and pita pockets. I really like the soft texture of the pita’s and that they are just the perfect size to stuff with your favorite fillings. I like scrambling up eggs, bacon and veggies to fill up the soft pitas for my breakfast. They are also great to fill with meat, cheese and lettuce for spin on a traditional sandwich.

Sund-Dried-Tomatoes-and-Manchego-Cheese-smallest1-606x421If you are not sure what to make with the variety of flatbreads, Stonefire has a really incredible website containing many mouth watering recipes. The Sundried Tomato and Manchego Flatbread recipe caught my eye and will be one that I’m going to try. Other recipe options include those for grilling, appetizers, side dishes, and desserts to name a few. I love the fact that these breads are so versatile in what a person is able to create out of them, making them a must-have grocery item to have on hand in the freezer for quick & easy meals.

Stonefire is a family run business that started in 2011 by Sam Ajmera and his two sons who have been in the baking business for over 40 years. They pride themselves on authenticity right down to the traditional baking methods. The Ajmera family invented a new technology that perfect mirrors the intense heat of the ancient Indian tandoor ovens. The authenticity of the ingredients was just as important and all their flatbread products are preservative free. Without the preservatives, the breads can run the risk of going stale after just a day or two, however they are perfect to throw in the freezer and pull out when needed.

Stonefire Authentic Flatbreads are available for purchase at many grocery retailers including Walmart and Costco. To find where to purchase these great flatbreads at a location near you, simply type in your address or city in their store finder option.
