How many people do you know that have cracked their smart-phone screen? According to the SquareTrade iPhone Study, Americans have spent $5.9 billion on damaged iPhones with 11% of people using iPhones with cracked screens. The top causes of damage being related to some type of falling or dropping; 30% fell out of hands, 13% fell off of a lap, and 11% knocked off a table. These cases of accidental damage are 10 times more common than either theft or loss! So far I consider myself lucky with my iPhone. I’ve had it for nearly 3 years and haven’t cracked my screen yet, to my surprise, considering the number of times I’ve dropped it.

I need this because I just bought a new 5C and there aren’t any good cases that protect the screen so I bought an adhesive screen protector and its full of bubbles FAIL. Great gift idea and replacement for the LCBO gift card! Who doesn’t need one? I do not have a smartphone, but I have been on at least 5 trips to the Apple Store, for such issues! It seems almost weekly, someone is complaining about their smashed screens on facebook! Such a good idea for those hard to buy for people.
