I have a particularly tough time with complex electronics for some reason, especially when it comes to printers. I just do not have time to figure out all the buttons, preferences, document feeders and ink compartments. I just want it to work – plain and simple.

I didn’t have to fiddle with a lengthy manual, or fumble through a pile of menu options. The 2.7” color LCD TouchScreen displays TouchPanel and shows only the keys needed. Fax, Copy or Print are the first three options each have their own subsequent instruction displayed on the TouchScreen, taking the guesswork out of the myriad of possibilities.
The compact size makes it fit nicely on my small computer desk in the front room of my house and given that its wireless there was one cord to worry about plugging into the computer. The Brother Work Smart Wireless Printer very easily connects to wireless and even allows mobile device printing via Airprint, Google Cloud Print, Brother iPrint&Scan and Wi-Fi Direct. Would LOVE to win this! We have an ancient SUPER HEAVYYYYYYY printer that is on a shelf in the basement. It is always messing up, and we have to go down there an beat it senseless to get it to work. Oh, did I mention to reach the printer I have to stand on a little kids chair….the basement ceiling isn’t that high, so a regular chair is too high to stand on!

It is fine to have all the new features like touch screen and WIFI – wireless but if it doesn’t work great then all the other stuff doesn’t matter. I have 2 wireless Printers. One in the basement which can be remotely accessed by 2 computers upstairs. The other is upstairs and it has the same features as the one listed here. One feature I love is the double sided printing. Of course there are other reasons…like wireless…but for me my only interest in winning this is a replacement that has ink. I actually love the 2.7” color LCD TouchScreen. My current printer has one that is so small, I am constantly pressing the exact button I did not want…such as scan instead of copy. Always, when I need something in a hurry. So much wasted time, paper, ink and maybe a bit of swearing. 🙂
With 3 kids and 2 adults printing assignments and music for students our printer is working overtime and needs a buddy to help with the load. This would be an awesome surprise for my husband. No more sharing with the kids.
It’s wireless so the printer can be placed anywhere, not just attached to a computer.
