Telus Wants to Send Deserving Youth to We Day

Telus We Day 2013Parents and teachers, something to keep in mind with back to school….

Since 2006, TELUS has been a proud supporter of Free The Children; an international charity that educates, engages and empowers youth to become agents of change, and the folks behind We Day. Over the past seven years, they’ve given more than $5 million in charitable donations and sponsorship funding to support this cause!

This year, TELUS is once again excited to be the national co-title sponsor of Free The Children’s We Day events that are making waves with motivated youth across North America. There are eight We Day events happening across Canada this year, beginning with the Toronto event on September 20, and TELUS wants to send deserving youth to attend! Past speakers and performers have included top celebrities and presenters such as Jennifer Hudson, Dalai Lama and Nelly Furtado, and this year promises to be just as amazing.

This event is so exclusive, you can’t even buy tickets! Youth have to earn their way through their school and service as part of the We Act Program, which sees them get involved in their communities throughout the year. So, how can youth that aren’t part of the We Act Program through their school get their hands on tickets to attend? The price of a VIP We Day experience is just one small act…

TELUS is asking kids to share their smalls acts of good for a chance to Earn Their Way to We Day in their community! Using Twitter or Instagram, youth can tell Telus what little thing they do to make a difference and Telus could be sending them and a friend to We Day in serious VIP style, as part of the TELUS Crew! Because they want everyone to have a fair shot, youth who are not on Insagram or Twitter can also enter their submission directly on their website. For more details, or to enter online youth can visit TELUSforWeDay.com.
